Subscribe to the Apache Doris Mailing List
The mailing list is the most widely recognized way to communicate in an Apache community. It carries day-to-day questions, technical discussions, and decision-making. Its asynchronous, broadcast nature is well suited to open-source communities distributed around the world. This article describes how to subscribe to the Apache Doris dev mailing list in 5 steps.
Mailing List Address Reference
Subscription, discussion, and unsubscription use different email addresses. They map to the following uses:

Subscription Steps
1. Send a Subscription Email
Open your email client, create a new message, and send an email to dev-subscribe@doris.apache.org. The subject and body can be anything.
2. Receive the Confirmation Email from dev-help
After completing step 1, you will receive a confirmation email from dev-help@doris.apache.org.
If you do not receive the email after a long wait, check whether it has been blocked or automatically routed into folders such as "Subscriptions," "Spam," or "Promotions."
3. Reply to the Confirmation Email
For the email received in the previous step, choose one of the following two methods:
- Method A: Reply directly to that email.
- Method B: Create a new email and set the recipient to the "Reply-To" address shown in the previous email.
Either way, the subject and body can be anything.
4. Receive the Welcome Email
After completing step 3, you will receive a welcome email titled WELCOME to dev@doris.apache.org. Your subscription is now complete, and community updates will be delivered to you through this mailing list.
5. Start a Mail Discussion (Optional)
Once you have subscribed, send an email to dev@doris.apache.org to start a discussion. All subscribers will receive the email.
Unsubscribe from the Mailing List
To unsubscribe, send an email to dev-unsubscribe@doris.apache.org with any subject and body, and follow the instructions in the returned email to confirm.
